Nanoleaf Skylight
Nanoleaf Skylight allows users to create custom layouts and designs of their own using modular lighting panels. With customizable scenes, rhythm modes and over 16+ million colours, Nanoleaf Skylight aims to bring the company’s signature light panels beyond the wall.
Modularity
A key aspect to the Skylight was its modularity and ease of installation. To find the best solution, I worked closely with the mechanical engineering team in our Shenzhen office to ensure our solutions were CSA compliant.
Streamlining the User Experience
To better understand the pain points of installation, user tests were conducted to analyze the potential problems. Individuals of varying knowledge of home improvement were asked to carryout a mock installation of the Skylight. Sessions were recorded and later analyzed, along with interviews conducted immediately after the test. With the insights gathered, adjustments and design updates were implemented accordingly.
